Hi, I am trying to create a minimal script to change the name of an uploaded file with a folder rule.
Until now I just needed folderName = document.parent.name and it worked good.
Now i would need to get the name (that of couse can change each time) of exactly three folders before the document.parent.name
I mean let's say I have a site with these folder structure.
banana \ apple \ orange \ tomato \ cherry
Before I just needed var folderName = document.parent.name that is to say in this case "cherry"
How do I get "apple" name so to set it as my var folderName ?
The name "apple" can change each time, i mean it's the user that will change this folder name and I can't know it before, but I know that in my template folder structure that folder (apple) it's the only one that can change name, all the rest is fixed, and (in this case apple) it's exactly the third folder before the folder cherry where there's the folder rule.

Hi Experts,

We are using Alfresco 4.c. We upload the files from our application server via java webservice api. Recently we upgraded our application server and tried to upload the files to Alfresco but failed.

We found out that AuthenticationUtils.startSession(user, password) throws error. Null message was returned in the exception.

Jave version in old server : 1.7

Java version in new server : 1.8

Could you please help me to fix the issues.

thanks to this forum I successfully adapted to my needs a simple script for ranaming files that are uploaded through a folder rule

I have this script in various folders to achive the desired change in name.

Now I have the problem that the foldername in future could change name so I would have the files already uploaded with "wrong" (old foldername name) names.
So I think I would need something that check the name of the newly renamed folderName and that for every existing file in folder renames just the part of the folderName of the exsisting files, keeping the rest of the name the same.
Is that possible? thst's outside my area of expertise.

I've a specific issue with the sites page in the user profile .
ex:https://mydomain/share/page/user/(username)/user-sites

By default , this page displays 100 items max. But some users in our society have access to more than 100 sites so they can't turn off the flow of activities on multiples sites.

I know it's possible to configure Alfresco to display more site in the page but it's not a suitable solution for me.
I would like to manage this using script.

Referring to JavaScript API , there is unsetFeedControl method to disable the flow for a specific site for the currently logged in user.

However, I didn't find similar method to disable, as admin, the flow for a specific site AND a specific user.

Is there another ways to accomplish this?

I want to automate a few checks concerning rules (e.g. check whether rules are disabled, apply to subfolders etc.). It seems there is no JavaScript API for showing/manipulating rules. Starting from hints found in this discussion:

I could do most of what I need to do using the general node API. Starting from the rule folder and recursively traversing its children I can find all the rules, its conditions, actions and parameters.

But there is one exception: If a rule executes a script I cannot get the UUID or some other unique identifier of the script. Here's an example: I list all of the nodes' properties and find one like this:

I'm using FTS search query that has to fetch documents that contains a full text (or keyword) and also based on a specific date (either <, >, <= or >= a specific date). But with these comparison operators, SOLR search throws exception. IS there any equivalent operators for FTS query to perform date comparisons?

Hello.

I have a rule set up to execute a script when a file gets deleted from the Calendar folder in the repository but does not run when I tick the "Run in Background" checkbox. It runs when I force the rules to execute, and when I have the "Run in Background" unchecked. I need it to run in the background because it sends out emails and takes some time to execute.

Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution?
